The folk songs of Rajasthan are extremely popular all across the country. Folk Dance

Pushkar fair is the hub of fun and merriment whose joy is enhanced by several competitions like Camel races, beauty contests, musical chair and ‘laadoo oonth’ (how much weight the camel can carry). These are some unique competitions which can only be seen at Pushakr Fair.

Camel race is one of the major attractions of Pushkar Fair. In this competition camels are beautifully decorated and race one another to win the prize of best camel of Pushkar. This event reflects much of the culture of this place because camels are an integral part of desert life. A lot of preparation goes into organizing this race. In this race More than a dozen camels lurching crazily at high-speed across the open sands toward the finishing line.

Decorated camels ramp walk not only entertains tourists but also showcases the skills of his master training of their camel. And Camel Musical is among the funniest of all Pushkar Fair’s Camel competitions in which camel go round and round and sits on chair when music stops. The joy of this competition always brings smile to tourist faces. Laadoo Oonth is another competition based on how much weight the camel can carry. It is peculiar competition in which camel lift the load and the camel that lifts the heaviest weight declared as the winner of this competition.

Storytellers

It is another cultural activity of Pushkar fair in which storytellers articulate stories of bravery of several Kings and queen. Acrobatics

Acrobatics is another attraction of Pushkar Fair where acrobats from several parts of India come to show their acrobatic talents. Acrobatics is the performance of extraordinary feats of balance, agility and motor coordination which can be seen through the various activities perform by acrobats which entertain fair visitors.
